Languedoc Wine Tours & Courses
MH Wines are delighted to be able to offer our customers & friends the chance to visit the wonderful wine producing Languedoc region as well as our own little piece of paradise at our vineyard in the village of St. Jean de Serres. In association with Les Vignerons Irlandais who have recently completed the building of a new state of the art cellar we now have the facility to run Special wine courses, using the technology and knowledge at hand for the pleasure of wine lovers. The courses are run by professional wine makers & we also have food demonstrations presented by a local chef.
The subjects covered are:
- Viticulture: The day to day work to the vine; this could include some work experience depending on the time of the year.
- Oenology: The Science of wine making.
- Wine appreciation: Tasting wines at different stages of maturity, understanding the different tastes derived from each grape varietal.
- Food & Wines: The art of matching food and wines, the use of wines in making sauces, wine vinegars. This course will be held in our kitchen in the Cévennes. Also available, the different use of Olive oil and experience the different varieties available and some history.
- Legal aspects of the wine industry such as regulations regarding bottling and labelling. The rules governing the A.O.C, Vin de pays and Table wine. The lack of control in using additives.

6 Day Languedoc Wine Tour
Two days in the Roussillon at the foothills of the Pyrénées, visiting the vineyards and the towns of Perpignan, Narbonne and Carcassonne. You will taste the best wines of Roussillon, Corbières, Fougères and Cabardès. Then, you will head on to the Cévennes, where you will visit the vineyards of the departments of Gard and Hérault and meet with the winemakers. This under valued region produces outstanding World class wines. There will be morning walks, meetings with the winemakers and a special shopping trip on Saturday morning to the famous market in Uzès.
The accommodation is organised for you & it includes dinner. You will be staying at our new luxury apartments - La Bastide de l'Amandier in the little village of Canaules just 2km from our vineyard . The apartments have all the facilities you would associate with any top class accommodation including English language TV channels & solar heated swimming pool.
